As 2008 starts, changes are happening at the Oasis Centre. The centre’s energetic and well-liked coordinator Jane Uglow has taken a new job. Jane was the face and the heart of the centre, the person who greeted visitors and who organised the centre’s workshops and courses. We wish her happiness and success!

MORE TEENAGERS TO BENEFIT FROM LOCAL FOOD EXPERTISE IN GUNNISLAKE & PRINCETOWN

Following their recent successful workshops, Westden will be running two more groups of interactive local food workshops for young people aged 14 to 19. These will be held at the Delaware School, Gunnislake (8th, 22nd & 29th November) and the Pavilions, Princetown (12th & 19th October & 26th November).

Both the Calstock Parish Council and Caradon District Council are assisting the Calstock Development Trust with grants towards the running costs of the Oasis Centre , following failure to gain three year lottery funding for its core services.
