As 2008 starts, changes are happening at the Oasis Centre. The centre’s energetic and well-liked coordinator Jane Uglow has taken a new job. Jane was the face and the heart of the centre, the person who greeted visitors and who organised the centre’s workshops and courses. We wish her happiness and success!

As Jane is leaving us for a new job, the Oasis center will be run by volunteers on an ad hoc basis, therefore the job listings in the window of the Oasis Center will not be updated as frequently as before.

SECCURE (South East Cornwall Credit Union for Residents and Employees)is open at the Oasis centre
on the First and Third Thursday of the Month between 9.30 and 11.30. We offer savings accounts for adults and children, and if you're 18 or over, we offer loans up to £1500 (subject to eligibility). Come in and have a chat with one of our friendly volunteer staff.

A collection point for our local Credit Union is manned from time to time at the Oasis Center Gunnislake. If you need some extra cash for that emergency that comes up suddenly and are prepared to save a regular amount each week, pop in and join your local credit union.
